Binge eating disorder is a very common disorder. It is an eating disorder whereby a person regularly eats huge amounts of food even when full or not hungry, and just can't stop eating excessively. The binge eater feels unable to control the compulsion to keep eating and eating and eating big amounts of food. Unlike bulimia nervosa, whereby the person eats a lot and then vomits in the hopes of getting rid of the large amount of food eaten, binge eating disorder is not characterized with vomiting.  Depression, abuse, traumatic events are some of the factors that cause people to suffer from binge eating disorder.
